The status bar
The strip at the bottom of the main window. It shows session context at a glance and is clickable; every button opens the relevant dialog or switches context.
Indicators, left to right
Selection count
Text-only display. Shows how many rows are selected in the active tab when the tab has a grid.

- Pending changes badge. An orange badge with a count, visible when there are uncommitted changes. Click to open the Outgoing / Pending Changes tab.
License
Always visible. Key icon + the word License. Click opens the licence-key window. The icon is colour-coded by the current licence state (valid / warning / invalid). Hover for the tooltip with the detailed state.
Workspace
Folder icon + Workspace. Click opens the workspace folder in Windows Explorer. Hover shows the full workspace path in a tooltip.

MCP server
Sparkle icon. A spinner overlays it when the server is serving a request. Click toggles the MCP server on or off. Hover for the current status tooltip.
Database connection
Database icon + the connection name, or an "offline" icon + Not connected. When connected, the tooltip shows the connection summary. When disconnected, click opens the database-connection dialog.
Colour conventions across indicators
- Green. Healthy / connected / valid.
- Amber (orange). Warning; present-but-degraded.
- Red. Error; action required.
- Grey / default. Not configured or not applicable.
Specific indicators use more specific colours (the pending-changes badge is always orange; the licence icon uses green / orange / red), but the convention is consistent.
