DEFECT 237 - Fixed: Jira Permission Error Downloading Deployment File Attachments
We identified an issue where the integration between DataStar and Jira had become outdated, specifically affecting the ability to download deployment file attachments. This issue arose due to reliance on deprecated features of Jira's REST API, which are no longer supported.
To address this, we have upgraded Data Star's Jira integration to utilize version 3 of Jira's REST API. This upgrade ensures compatibility with the latest Jira features and resolves the issues with downloading deployment file attachments.
Additionally, due to Jira's updated security policies, we now only support connections to Jira using API keys. Jira has officially deprecated password-based authentication for their API, requiring API tokens for all integrations. For more details, you can refer to Jira's official documentation on API tokens.
